These button head screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) and meet Full DFAR requirements. These screws come with full mechanical and Chemical Certification as well as a Certificate of Conformance (CoC) to verify that they meet the specifications on the Unique Part Descriptor (UPD) Sheet. Both carbon fiber and titanium are at the top of the galvanic scale which is why engineers specify titanium fasteners for use with carbon fiber and composites.
On our Grade 5 titanium screws, there is a trademarked Ring around the head so you can quickly see that the screw is high strength titanium, versus unalloyed titanium. With a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural applications in rockets, sailboats, aircraft, engines, satellites, etc. If you are looking for high strength, or lightweight, or zero rust, these button head screws will work perfectly.
