These button head screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). They are
also FULL DFAR and come with complete chemical and mechanical certification. FULL
DFAR means they are manufactured in the United States from material that was also made
in the United States. Grade 5 titanium is a common aerospace alloy that has been used in
commercial aircraft for decades and it has only been recently that Grade 5 titanium has
become affordable to the average person.
Our titanium screws are corrosion free, so the problems mentioned above go away
with Grade 5 titanium, even in saltwater.
Another benefit with Grade 5 titanium screws is their strength and lightness. With a
minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural
applications in race cars, sailboats, powerboats, engines, bicycles, etc. If you are looking
