Allied Titanium 26 Kg Titan Anchor, Fluke Area = 295 square inches (190,561 square mm), Grade 2 (CP) Titanium with Polished Finish |

The Allied Titanium Titan Anchor was developed in a collaboration between Captain James Underwood and Christopher Greimes in 2009. Before the Titan Anchor, both of these offshore sailors had attempted to get around the failings of other anchor designs by simply up sizing their anchors. Captain Underwood used a massive Bugel and Christopher carried a double-sized Bruce. Still, both of these sailors had dragging problems in extremely soft or hard bottoms.
Using titanium, which is both tough and light, they created a radical swept point design which penetrates coral and hard pan with large flukes to hold in mud like Danforth's and fortress' do. With around 40% more surface area then a Rocna and a dagger point much sharper than a CQR, the Titan Anchor brings the best of both worlds together.
Captain James Underwood has now been dropping the first Titan Anchor on his sloop for ten years across the Seven Seas. He reports that it performs as designed, setting quick and holding well in both soft and hard bottoms.
